The purpose of the preview feature in DatabeatOMNI is to give the user an indication of what the content uploaded in a channel might look like on-screen, but there can be some distinct differences from what's actually displayed on the device.

The purpose of the feature is to give the user an indication of what the uploaded content in a channel might look like on-screen, but there are some distinct differences from what's actually displayed on the device.
Sometimes we notice that users can be confused as to "I see that content is running fine in DatabeatOMNI, but it doesn't display the same way on my screen". Therefore we've made a list to clarify these differences.
Connection, Status and Heartbeat
For content to be sent to a OMNIplayer, there has to be a connection. This is generally boiled down to "Is the player turned on?" and "Is the player connected to the internet?".
The connection from DatabeatOMNI to the OMNIplayer is typically referred to as a Heartbeat, indicating whether a player is online and healthy or offline and unreachable.
A online and healthy player will have a green icon for heartbeat.
A offline and disconnected player will have a orange, gray or purple icon for heartbeat.
All content uploaded in the assigned channel should automatically be received on the OMNIplayer if the connection is healthy and stable. However, it doesn't have to stay connected to play content. Local content can be downloaded, stored and played from the internal storage of the OMNIplayer. View how many files that has been stored from the status of media.
A more advanced overview is provided from Local Mediaplan or the actual device.
You may experience that the preview of a webpage works as intended from DatabeatOMNI, but encounters an error when displaying on your OMNIplayer. The preview from DatabeatOMNI is supported by the web browser on your computer, while the OMNIplayer is limited to the capabilities of its internal player. Meaning that the same webpage that your previewing in DatabeatOMNI might not be supported on your OMNIplayer.
