Now you are probably wondering which version is on your screen. Take a look at this article: How to see which version of Smart Signage Platform (SSP) your Samsung public display has?

What is the Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSSP)?

Simply explained, a screen is smarter with SSSP. The concept is similar to the Smart-TV you might have at home, where you can start apps to view content.

Most Samsung public displays have a System-on-Chip (SoC). The SoC makes the screen smarter, as it is a built-in mini-PC inside the screen, enabling us to install application/software on it.

SSSP is Samsung's platform, for which software developers such as Databeat can create applications. SSSP enables a more straightforward, more affordable, and more efficient digital signage.

We believe that the most significant benefit is that there is no need for an external media player or unnecessary cables and equipment to show your content on a screen. There are fewer things that can cause issues, and it is easier for the end-user. All the screen needs are power, an internet connection, and the OMNIplay app.

Please note: Samsung makes many different screens to cover different needs, and not all Samsung public displays have a built-in player (SoC) or SSP.
